Supporting Jewish Community in Fort Bend, TX: Nonprofits Making a Difference

Nonprofits in Fort Bend, TX have a great opportunity to support the Jewish community and make a positive impact. By organizing educational seminars, programs, and workshops on topics of value to the local business and nonprofit sector, nonprofits can help improve the philanthropy of student-driven youth. One way to do this is by participating in the Wine Pull. Every year, Friends of Child Advocates of Fort Bend (CAFB) donates and solicits wine donations and staffs the station.

CAFB also requests that gift cards be purchased at local restaurants to support businesses and then donated to help raise funds for Child Advocates of Fort Bend. In addition, Friends of Child Advocates of Fort Bend provides more than 150 backpacks to children in foster homes that receive services from Child Advocates of Fort Bend. This helps ensure that these children have the necessary supplies for school and other activities. The Division of Community Resources focuses on forming effective partnerships and collaborations to provide a positive impact on the Fort Bend community.

This includes the Entrepreneurial Networking Lunch (ENL) program presented by Fort Bend Forward, of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, and funded by the George Foundation. The ENL program provides knowledge needed to boost the capacity and performance of organizations while creating a network of professionals working toward the common goal of serving Fort Bend County. Nonprofits in Fort Bend have an amazing opportunity to make a difference in the lives of members of the Jewish community. By organizing educational seminars, programs, and workshops on topics that are beneficial to local businesses and nonprofits, they can help improve philanthropy among student-driven youth. Additionally, by participating in initiatives such as the Wine Pull and providing backpacks to children in foster homes, nonprofits can make a real difference in their community.
